A/R Reduction Project

One Liberty client, desperately in need of cash to meet bond covenants, referred all accounts for all payors with claims over 180 days. We generated nearly $32 million in cash by creating a separate department completely dedicated to this hospital, and working the accounts 12 hours per day, seven days per week.

Large Balances

Several Liberty clients routinely refer large balance inpatient claims. These projects include balances ranging as high as $1 million. We average $800,000 in monthly cash collections for one of our clients.

Worker's Compensation and No Fault

Several Liberty clients outsource day one worker's compensation and no-fault accounts. These claims require material e-mail, telephone and hard copy intervention, the volume of which typical hospital staff cannot effectively manage.

Secondary Billing

Several clients regularly refer all Medicare secondary billing to Liberty. One client averages $150,000 per month as a result of outsourcing this selection of their receivables.

Dialysis

One Liberty client referred a clean-up project of dialysis accounts aged over 240 days. Despite the tremendous amount of intervention required, Liberty collected 52% of the gross referral dollars. This project allowed the Medical Center to accurately state their receivables, and the cash augmented their financial position.

Supplemental Cash Flow

One Liberty client utilized our cash acceleration services for a finite period to supplement their cash flow needs by $200,000 per month. We generated a monthly average of $260,000, exceeding our client's expectations at a net cost lower than they could achieve.

Housekeeping

One Liberty client referred a clean-up project of $98 million comprised of 85,000 inpatient, outpatient and dialysis aged accounts. Despite the tremendous amount of clean-up required (most accounts were previously paid and required contractual allowance entry only), Liberty collected 21% of the gross referral dollars. This "found money" was not anticipated by the Medical Center and resulted in numerous add-on projects.
